Where to Go Pumpkin Picking in Niagara (2023)

Fall is my favourite time of the year! The sound of crunching leaves, the crisp, cool air, visiting pumpkin patches, colourful leaves, sweaters, bonfires, and delicious seasonal food! What is better than that? 

Looking to take part in some fall fun in Niagara? The Niagara Region is home to some fun pumpkin patches and farms to take part in some of the traditional fall activities, from taking a wagon hayride, running through a corn maze, and picking out that perfect pumpkin!

Pumpkins are the iconic fall staple for everyone’s front porch and fall décor. I wish I could get creative with pumpkin displays, but in reality I just plop one on the front step and call it a day. Many of these pumpkin farms also offer

There are plenty of PYO pumpkin patches to select that perfect pumpkin from this season and support our local farms with this fun family activity! Here’s a list of where to pick your own pumpkins in Niagara in 2022!

Good Earth Farm Niagara

This pumpkin patch in Vineland is open for the season and offers pumpkin picking, hay rides, fire pits, food trucks, bean bag toss, pumpkin tic tac toe, pumpkin painting, and a corn maze!

Open Wednesday-Friday 3:00 – 10:00 pm, Saturdays 12:00 – 10:00 pm, and Sundays 12:00 – 8:00 pm.

Admission: Adults $15, kids under 12 & seniors $8, under 3 free, or a family pass for $40.

DeVries Fruit Farm

Visit this popular pumpkin patch to pick out that perfect pumpkin! Portions of their pumpkin patch goes towards charity, and there’s also a fall bakery to enjoy with freshly baked items! Stop by the market for fresh apples, apple cider, and produce!

DeVries Fruit Farm has everything you need to decorate for fall, from straw bales, gourds, corn stalks, pumpkins and more!

Howell Family Pumpkin Farm

Howells Family Pumpkin Farm is well known throughout the Niagara Region! 

From pumpkins and a PYO pumpkin patch, wagon rides, corn maze, pumpkin slingshot, pig races, an apple cannon-blaster, zombie graveyard paintball, a giant corn pit, hay play areas, pumpkin carving demonstrations, wine & beer garden and fire pits and more, Howells is the local family place to come for all things fall-fun!

Tickets are required and range from $18-$24 depending on which day of the week. Games, including the pumpkin slingshot, apple cannon blaster, and paintball require tokens and are 3 for $5.

Warner’s Ranch and Pumpkin Farm

From a pumpkin patch with all shapes and sizes of pumpkins, corn maze, hayrides, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting and a produce stand, Warner’s Ranch and Pumpkin Farm is a fun family place to visit during the fall! You can even find specialty pumpkins here, too!

You can also buy your fall decor from cornstalks, hay bales, gourds, and more!

Cash only, but there is an ATM on-site.

Bry-Anne Farms Pumpkin Patch

During the month of October, Bry-Anne Farms turns into the Great Pumpkin Patch!  Pick your own pumpkin or pick one from the stand! Find your way through the corn maze, take a hayride, go on a pumpkin discovery tour, visit some of the farm animals and enjoy a picnic on site! 

Visit the farm stand to buy some homemade pies and butter tarts, apples, and fall decor for your front porch!

Open Monday-Saturday 11:00 am – 6:00 pm, Sundays 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm from October 1st – October 31st.

Entry: $7 per person. Children 3 and under are free.

Puddicombe Estates

Visit Puddicombe Estates for a fun family day out near Niagara! Visit the pumpkin patch, take a train ride through the vineyard and orchards with views of the changing colours of the Niagara Escarpment, visit the country store for baked goods (including fudge!) and hot apple cider, and make friends with farm animals! Stay for the live music and campfires and enjoy a sunny fall day!

Puddicombe Estates is also a winery and cidery, so grab a bottle or two to take home!

    This is my favourite time of the year so I’m so sad that I’m not going to be back home for pumpkin season! I haven’t been to a pumpkin patch in so long.
