Why Travel the World?

As long as I can remember, our family has traveled. From trips to the UK and Paris to visit family, Disney World as young kids, and family vacations in the Caribbean, I have been fortunate to experience so many places!

My family has a long history of globe-trotting; from my grandparents & mom living in the United States, England, Jamaica, Malaysia, and Nigeria (and my mom coming to Canada for “1 year” as a nanny – that’s how she met my dad as the Girl Next Door!), and aunts, uncles and cousins living in Australia, Greece, Oman, Sierra Leone, England and Hawaii, it’s made me realize the world is a big place with a lot to offer and we shouldn’t be limited to our own little worlds!

My passion for travel has continued to grow over the years, and our bucket list is growing all the time. I have given the ‘travel bug’ to my husband Dana and each year we try to visit a new place. Not a day goes by without looking in to flight prices to somewhere or watching travel vlogs on YouTube!

So what’s the appeal?

There is something about the magic of the airports, the plane rides to unknown locations, the touch and smell of foreign money, and new languages, cultures, scenery and food that is ultimately captivating and soul-inspiring.

Whether or not you travel to familiar or unknown locations, each time you leave a piece of your heart behind and learn more about yourself and what you are capable of.

It’s about getting a break from reality, recharging your mind and body, and opening your soul to new experiences.

Never stop making those memories. What’s holding you back?

The world is a book, and those who
don’t travel only read one page.
