One of the best parts of the holiday season is finding that perfect tree for your home! Cutting your own Christmas tree is a wonderful Canadian family tradition and activity!
For those looking for an authentic Christmas tree, here’s a list of where to cut-your-own Christmas trees in Niagara!

Last updated: November 10, 2022
Why buy a real Christmas tree?
A real tree allows families to fully connect with the holiday – the smell, touch, and look of a real tree just doesn’t compare to anything else.
Everyone loves that fresh pine scent, but did you know that Christmas tree farms – while temporary, can help cut carbon emissions? Each tree provides enough oxygen for 18 people and removes pollutants from the atmosphere, prevents erosion, and provides habitat for birds and other animals!
Plus, you can feel good about supporting local farms in Niagara! Most of the artificial Christmas trees you find in the store are imported from overseas; why not support a small business and make those treasured memories at the same time?
When do Christmas tree farms open in Niagara?
You’ll typically see these cut-your-own tree farms open at the end of November, and usually they’ll be open until they sell out of trees. Usually this is within the first week to ten days of December. Be sure to follow along these tree farms’ social channels for updates, or call ahead to avoid disappointment!
